Khadija bint Khuwaylid:-

She was born 565 CE. She was a twice widowed successful merchant who found Muhammad to be very trustworthy and proposed to marry him when she was 40 and he 25.

According to traditions, he went on commercial trips on her behalf although he was allegedly illiterate. It seems odd for an illiterate since he would have had to check inventory and to read and sign contracts or receipts.

She allegedly bore him four daughters Zainab, Ruqayya, and Ummu Kulthoom - who according to al Suyuti's Tarikh al-khulafa wal muluk, a Shia tradition - were actually Muhammad's step daughters from Khadija's second husband or children of her sister - while Fatima was his own.

He also had three boys; al Qasim, al Tahir and al Tayyib all of whom died at an early age, an especially devastating tragedy in a patriarchal society. Moreover, of the daughters, only Fatima had children who lived past infancy. Hence, it is only through Fatima that Muhammad had descendents.

As she was a successful merchant, it is difficult to understand how shortly after her death and after he married Aisha, the latter repeatedly complained in the Ahadith that they were very poor and invariably hungry.

Where did all the wealth of Khadija disappear so soon after her death? Did the unemployable Muhammad squander it?

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 4.605        Narrated byAisha
The Prophet returned to Khadija while his heart was beating rapidly. She took him to Waraqa bin Naufal who was a Christian convert and used to read the Gospels in Arabic. Waraqa asked (the Prophet), "What do you see?" When he told him, Waraqa said, "That is the same angel whom Allah sent to the Prophet Moses. Should I live till you receive the Divine Message, I will support you strongly."

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 4.642        Narrated byAli
I heard the Prophet saying, "Mary, the daughter of 'Imran, was the best among the women (of the world of her time) and Khadija is the best amongst the women. (of this nation)."

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 5.165        Narrated byAisha
I did not feel jealous of any woman as much as I did of Khadija because Allah's Apostle used to mention her very often. He married me after three years of her death, and his Lord (or Gabriel) ordered him to give her the good news of having a palace of Qasab in Paradise.

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 5.166        & 7.156 Narrated byAisha
I did not feel jealous of any of the wives of the Prophet as much as I did of Khadija though I did not see her, but the Prophet used to mention her very often, and when ever he slaughtered a sheep, he would cut its parts and send them to the women friends of Khadija. When I sometimes said to him, "(You treat Khadija in such a way) as if there is no woman on earth except Khadija," he would say, "Khadija was such-and-such, and from her I had children."

*** This statement is remarkable since Khadijah was over 40 years old when she was giving birth. A rather dangerous time from the biological point of view even in modern times. That is why his sons from her died at or near birth. Yet, his 'marriages' to Aisha, and other very young women, excepting Maria the Copt, produced no children.

The fact remains that Muhammad had no male children and ONLY Fatima as his own out of more than 22 'marriages' ***

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 5.168        Narrated byAbu Huraira
Gabriel came to the Prophet and said, "O Allah's Apostle! This is Khadija coming to you with a dish having meat soup (or some food or drink). When she reaches you, greet her on behalf of her Lord (i.e. Allah) and on my behalf, and give her the glad tidings of having a Qasab palace in Paradise wherein there will be neither any noise nor any fatigue (trouble)."

Narrated 'Aisha: Once Hala bint Khuwailid, Khadija's sister, asked the permission of the Prophet to enter. On that, the Prophet remembered the way Khadija used to ask permission, and that upset him. He said, "O Allah! Hala!" So I became jealous and said, "What makes you remember an old woman amongst the old women of Quraish an old woman (with a teethless mouth) of red gums who died long ago, and in whose place Allah has given you somebody better than her?"

*** It seems that Allah found a great deal of time to accommodate and be at the beck and call of Muhammad's personal needs as well as those of his household.

None of the Hebrew prophets ever received such minutae of attention to their personal requirements and comfort even those with whom He befriended (Abraham) or talked to direct (Moses) ***

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 5.236        Narrated byHishams father
Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married 'Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old.

*** Does this make Muhammad a PAEDOPHILE or a Child Molester?***

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 6.444        Narrated byYahya bin Abi Kathir
I asked Aba Salama bin 'Abdur-Rahman about the first Sura revealed of the Qur'an. He replied "O you, wrapped-up (i.e. Al Muddaththir)." I said, "They say it was, 'Read, in the Name of your Lord Who created,' (i.e. Surat Al-'Alaq (the Clot))." On that, Abu Salama said, "I asked Jabir bin 'Abdullah about that, saying the same as you have said, whereupon he said, 'I will not tell you except what Allah's Apostle had told us. Allah's Apostle said, "I was in seclusion in the cave of Hiram', and after I completed the limited period of my seclusion. I came down (from the cave) and heard a voice calling me. I looked to my right, but saw nothing. Then I looked up and saw something. So I went to Khadija (the Prophet's wife) and told her to wrap me up and pour cold water on me. So they wrapped me up and poured cold water on me." Then, 'O you, (Muhammad) wrapped up! Arise and warn,' (Surat Al Muddaththir) was revealed." (74.1)

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 7.371        Narrated byAbu Masud Al Ansari
There was an Ansari man nicknamed, Abu Shu'aib, who had a slave who was a butcher. He came to the Prophet while he was sitting with his companions and noticed the signs of hunger on the face of the Prophet. So he went to his butcher slave and said, "Prepare for me a meal sufficient for five persons so that I may invite the Prophet along with four other men." He had the meal prepared for him and invited him. A (sixth) man followed them. The Prophet said, "O Abu Shu'aib! Another man has followed us. If you wish, you may invite him; and if you wish, you may refuse him." Abu Shu'aib said, "No, I will admit him."

Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 7101        Narrated byUmar ibn al-Khattab
Umar made a mention of what had fallen to the lot of people out of the material world and he said: I saw Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) spend the whole day being upset because of hunger and he could not get even an inferior quality of dates with which he could fill his belly.

***What is most remarkable about the Ahadith are the following:

1        The almost total lack of  stories about Muhammad originating from          Khadija or from many of the other wives of Muhammad, excepting the child bride, Aisha.

2        The complete absence of any information regarding how Muhammad
- after ther death of Khadijah - and many of his companions earned their living.

3        Nothing whatsoever is mentioned by the Muhammadan authors of the ENORMOUS and UNDENIABLE DEBT that Muhammad owed to Khadijah for her Financial, Theological, Intellectual and Psychological support throughout their lives together.

4        That in reality, Muhammadan Islam would not and could not have become a fact WITHOUT Khadijah's support and influence.

5        Why was Muhammad hungry when the Ahadith tell us that Khadijah was a very wealthy woman. What happened to her wealth?

6        Why did Muhammad not have a job while in the Madina to earn his living instead of being a parasite upon his supporters and later a PREDATOR upon
the wealth and assets of others?***
